Belarus ranked 23rd in 2020 world food security ranking

In the 2020 world ranking of food security Belarus placed 23rd among 113 states, the official Telegram channel of the Ministry of Agriculture reads. Meanwhile, the country continues to harvest vegetables. The leaders in the yield and rate of sugar beets harvesting are traditionally Grodno farmers. They collect 600 centners per hectare. Simultaneously with the harvesting, sugar beets are shipped to processing plants. The production volumes of four sugar factories in Belarus approached 5,000 tons per day. About a third of the total volume of sugar beets has already been gathered. The total harvest is planned at the level of 1 million tons.
