By 2025 the entire population of Belarus must be provided with clean drinking water. This commitment was expressed at the session of the board of the Ministry of Housing and Public Utilities. A corresponding program has been developed. Iron removal stations are under construction now with about 280 of them to be commissioned this year. In the next three years, all rural settlements will be provided with such stations. A strategy for the management of solid household waste until 2035 has also been approved as well. The emergence of regional centers for the collection and processing of such waste will reduce the number of plastic landfills in the country.
