Utility services in Minsk are switching to heavy duty operation due to the cold snap. 760 pieces of equipment and 780 employees are involved in clearing snow from the capital's streets. The task of the utilities services is to ensure uninterrupted supply of heat, water, electricity, and high-quality maintenance of urban areas. To avoid the risk of damage to engineering networks in the capital for this period, emergency teams will be on duty around the clock. On frosty days, 92 brigades of the city emergency service and water supply provider will also be at work. The necessary fuel supply has been amassed for the smooth operation of public transport.
