Belarus and Council of Europe sharing experience in regional governement

Belarus is interested in the experience of the Council of Europe in local self-government, Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko said as he met with President of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe. According to the Head of State, regional government is a very important topic in today's world. Belarus works closely with the congress that represents local and regional authorities of European states. The Council of the Republic and the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities are holding a roundtable in Minsk on Tuesday and Wednesday to discuss the pressing issues of local self-government. Attending the event are representatives of the congress from France, Italy, the Netherlands, Greece, and Romania.
