Belarus points out an important role of Egypt in the settlement of the situation in the region, Belarus President said as he met with Speaker of the House of Representatives of Egypt. This is the first visit of the speaker of the Egyptian parliament to Minsk in the history of the Belarusian-Egyptian inter-parliamentary contacts, however this is not the first time Alexander Lukashenko and Ali Abdel-Aal Sayed meet. The top officials held negotiations during Belarus President’s visit to Egypt. Today the parties stressed their interest in expanding contacts, facilitated by agreements reached by the two leaders.
