Emergency ministry holds competition of rescuers

In Vitebsk, rescuers ascended to a building's 22-nd store. All squads of the regional emergency detail took part in the competitions on rescuing from many-story buildings. Each team consisted of three fire-fighters. The accoutrements weigh 20 kilograms. The situation was most closely approximate to the real one, thus, the participants of the run had to breathe from the forced air devices. The vertical distance made almost 70 meters. The best timing was 1 minute 43 seconds. The most trained athletes will be a part of the regional combined team and represent the country's North at the national competitions. They will be held in April in Minsk.
