British strain of COVID-19 detected in Belarus

Several cases of the British strain of COVID-19 were detected in Belarus. This was confirmed by the specialists of the Epidemiology and Microbiology Center. Specialists detected the first cases of the new strain in the arrivals from Poland, Ukraine, and Egypt. Several people with the British strain of COVID-19 were also detected locally. Meanwhile, vaccination of educational and social service workers began in the Brest Region. According to doctors, the next to be vaccinated are people who live in institutions with a round-the-clock stay, people with chronic diseases, as well as residents of the region over 60 years old. They will all receive the vaccine for free.
